Book clubs offer a way to get books at deep discounts and the convience of having them delivered to you door. Walmart sells products and a lower price than competitors. How do they do that? Well, it's because Walmart purchase a mass quantity of items, allowing them to get those items at a lower price, in turn, allowing them to sell at a lower price. Book clubs run on the same principal. Book clubs that specialize in Romance novels buy at bulk, and pass the savings on to their members. Book Clubs come in all shapes and sizes. WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN A BOOK CLUB? Anyone who enjoys reading would benefit from a book club. Books are sold at discount prices and are much less expensive than at your local bookstore. Plus, you can earn some of the books for free. Most book clubs require that you buy a book from them once every 6 months, so if you already are purchasing books that often, than a book club is the way to go. HOW DOES A BOOK CLUB WORK? Most book clubs send customers a card that allows the member to elect to receive or not receive the monthly book. If you are like me, you'll remember to send in the card once the book has already arrived! Now you are stuck with mailing the book back to them or paying for the book. One of the benifits of signing up online and having an online account is that instead of snail mail, they email you reminders. You can simply go online and chose not to receive the book. Once you have purchased their required amount of books you can chose to stay with the book club, or cancel your membership. But, all of the free books you earned when you first signed up are yours to keep. However, if you chose to remain a member, you can continue to shop at deep discounts, and at the same time earn more free books with every purchase. |
